What to Wear to Music Festivals When You’re Over 30

In short, whatever the hell you want.

For some reason, 30 has become the cut off age for being cool. True, at 30 you are you are no longer young and naive but that doesn’t mean you have to have 3 kids in a minivan. If you happen to have 3 kids in a minivan, that also doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. It probably does mean your idea of fun has changed but I digress.

The point is, I know plenty of people over 30 who go to music festivals. Mainly because the tickets, travel and hotel are not 20s budget friendly. With all these folks over 30 hitting festival season hard, of course, a large segment of festival style has to cater to them.

Personally, I’m not about “festival style” but with a few festivals on my calendar this summer, what to wear while festing has been on my mind. So of course, I’ve been scouring the interwebs for a little inspiration. What did I find? Plenty of my favorite celebs over 30, looking fly, while vibing on grassy knolls in the summer sun. Keep scrolling to see how these baddies make music festival style over 30 look great without rocking head to toe Forever 21. (No one should do that over the age of 21.)

30s are definitely the new 20s, in your 20s you are too busy with studying or saving up for a deposit on your first home so when you hit your 30s you definitely have more of a disposable income. I don’t go to festivals though as their lack of proper toilets put me off, poor excuse I know 😄

Whaaaat?!! Forever 21 can be worn past 21! That’s why it’s called forever 21? My blogging partner and I run a blog specifically for 30 somethings and we are both mid 30s and believe me, going to a festival or wearing forever 21 isn’t an issue. I love the outfits of the celebs you picked out though. Especially the music queen, Beyonce rocking it 🙂 Ree love30

Obviously, you can wear Forever 21 whenever you want. LOL. Personally, It’s never been a brand that resonated with me more so because they have issues around ethically producing their goods.

Haha I am 30 so these are good tips. I still go to festivals but before, when I used to wear a bra top and shorts, now I cover up a little more! Love your photo choices!

Women look best at 30 years so whatever they put on them will fit very well. Your selected photos of the celebs sustain that theory,
